Day 3 Bloods
Day 3 bloods is the common name for the hormone testing of a blood sample performed on the 3rd day of your menstrual cycle. Day 3 testing of FSH, Oestradiol hormones and LH will determine how well the pituitary gland is stimulating the ovaries.
This test can also be performed on Day 2 or 4 as well, so sometimes it can also be referred to as “Day 2 Bloods” or “Day 4 Bloods”, but they are all the same hormone test.

Day 21 Bloods
If you have a 28 day cycle, test on Day 21 to help you evaluate if ovulation has occurred.
If your cycle is more or less than 28 days testing should be done 7 days after your ovulation date.
This evaluation involves checking the levels of progesterone.
Day 21 of cycle monitoring is a critical milestone for fertility testing procedures. Testing for progesterone establishes whether you have ovulated and are in the second half of the menstrual cycle, known as the luteal phase.

Ovarian Reserve Screening
Unlike men, who continually produce new sperm, women are born with a finite number of eggs. As we age, both the quality and quantity of these eggs decline. An Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) test provides valuable insights into your ovarian reserve.
This simple blood test can be performed at any stage of your menstrual cycle. By analysing your AMH levels in blood, we can quickly assess your ovarian reserve without the wait. The level of the hormone in the blood is a good indicator of the quantity of eggs but this test does not check their quality.
Biomarkers included in this panel:
Anti-Müllerin Hormone

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Test
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder that affects women of reproductive age. It is characterised by a complex interplay of hormonal imbalances, metabolic disturbances, and reproductive difficulties.
Blood testing provides one element of the investigations to diagnose PCOS. Our PCOS panel will test your hormone levels as well as other health biomarkers.
If you have PCOS you might have higher levels of the male hormone (testosterone) than usual. You might also have a higher LH/FSH ratio of a hormone called LH (luteinising hormone).

Testosterone
Testosterone is a hormone known as an androgen.
Although people know it primarily as a male sex hormone, females also need certain levels of testosterone. In females, most testosterone converts into the sex hormone oestradiol. In males, the testes produce testosterone, while the ovaries and adrenal glands produce testosterone in females.
Testosterone levels impact fertility in both sexes.
